Celebrate Kate Sessions and Trees at Balboa Park on November 9

Girl Scout troops are invited join the Balboa Park Conservancy to celebrate Kate Sessions' birthday on Saturday morning, November 9. Nature-related activities will be planned for Daisy, Brownie and Junior troops, and a birthday cake will be served! Cadettes will join other volunteers to plant 30 trees. Cadettes can complete their Take Action requirements for the Trees badge, at the November 9 event. Cadettes are also invited to attend to a Trees Badge workshop on Sunday morning, October 20. Register at https://trees-balboa-october20.eventbrite.com, $30 fee includes materials and snacks. Take a tree walk, learn why and how to water trees, and connect trees to climate change and health--all with local urban forestry professionals.
